Introduction to Anagama Wood Firing with Chris Ostrowski

 Come and discover first hand why wood-fired pottery is still thriving thousands of years after it began. Join us for a wine and cheese gathering and introduction to wood firing in an Anagama Kiln! This spring, we will be offering our students the opportunity to participate in this fascinating atmospheric firing experience in Chris Ostrowski's anagama kiln in Garrison, NY. Chris will talk about his kiln, Loci May, discuss the 2-week process of loading, firing, and cooling, and will show examples of the beautiful results he gets from his kiln. Students will come away with all the information they need in order to participate in the firing.
