BOWLS FOR HUNGERSaturday, January 19th
This January 2013 Clay Art Center partners with the Volunteer Center of United Way to create a new program in honor of the Martin Luther King JR. Day of Service in order to raise awareness of hunger in Westchester. The “Bowls for Hunger” workshops are open free to the community in collaboration with local not for profit organizations.
Workshops will be held on Saturday, January 19th at: Clay Art Center, Port Chester, NY- Session 1, 1pm-2pm Clay Art Center, Port Chester, NY -Session 2, 2pm-3pm Greenburgh Nature Center, Greenburgh, NY- Session 1, 10am-11am Greenburgh Nature Center, Greenburgh, NY - Session 2, 11am-12pm Clay Art Center at ArtsWestchester, White Plains -1pm-2pm Peekskill Clay Studios, Peekskill, NY - Session 1, 10am-11am Peekskill Clay Studios, Peekskill, NY - Session 2, 11:30am-12:30pm You are invited to come and learn more about the creative process while crafting a unique clay bowl that will help fight the hunger epidemic in Westchester. We invite community members ages eight and up to participate in this meaningful clay experience that will produce up to 200 bowls in a single day.
