This course is designed for students who want to have precise control over color and surface decoration.  We will begin by creating a set of sculptural or functional forms to decorate. Stencils, slips, color clay, underglazes and multiple firings will then be explored.  Using various masking techniques on bisqueware, we will learn how to air-brush color on sculptural and functional work. Students are required to bring a respirator and may bring mason stains or velvet underglazes with which to experiment.
