COMMUNITY ARTS FELLOWSHIP

The Clay Art Center is pleased to announce a NEW fellowship opportunity, which will be awarded to one artist/teacher each year.  The Community Arts Fellowship is made possible by the generous support of an anonymous donor, who is passionate to provide opportunities for an artist/teacher to work in a community studio and to touch the lives of the youth in our community.  It is intended to nurture the teacher in the artist, while at the same time allowing them the opportunity to develop their own work by providing them a space in which to work. Applications are requested from ceramic artists who are passionate to pursue the Artist/ Teacher career.  Effective immediately, applications will be due on May 1st of each year and will begin on September 1st.

(A Fellow is a person appointed to a position granting a stipend and allowing for advanced study or research)

Applications are restricted to clay artists who have completed all formal undergraduate &/or graduate academic training by the start of the fellowship period. Art Education majors with a focus in ceramics may also apply.
