Don Bosco Mural Project
Don Bosco Community Center partnered with Clay Art Center Community Arts
for a year long, free, after school class.
Each week, the students crossed the street to our studio where they learned new clay techniques, practiced creative methods of construction, and worked together to build one unified end project.
A truly collaborative effort, the class concluded with Executive Director, Fr. Richard Alejunas, assistant, Denise Martinez, and CAC teacher, Mari Ogihara, to prepare a template of their finished work to be installed as a tile mural inside Don Bosco this summer. This mural with be arranged around the doorway of the student’s recreation room as a beautiful display of what they have accomplished, and a reminder of their very special experience. |
