BECOME AN INTERN
CAC loves interns! We accept applications year-round from high school and college students.
We will work with you to fulfill your school's internship requirements, while involving you in the day-to-day activities and tasks that make a small-non-profitarts organization run smoothly. Interns have the opportunity to experience first-hand the inner-workings of a clay studio, and will be involved in everything from studio maintenance, office administration andloading/unloading kilns toassisting our artist-teachers in the classrooms andhelping out during various events.
We also have a special Ceramics Summer Studio Internship for oneHigh School student.
This is a unique opportunity for a High School student who has a desire to enrich his or her knowledge in ceramics by spending the summer working at the Clay Art Center. Applicants must have a strong interest in ceramics and have a desire to pursue art at the college level.
Ceramic Intern Opportunities Include:
- Unlimited access to use of studio space during the months of June through August
- Enrollment in one summer adult clay class
- $300 stipend, which can be used for the purchase of clay and firing fees
Requirements:
- Recommendation letter from school art teacher
- Letter of intent/interest from student
- Completed Internship Application (see link below)
- Student must spend a minimum of 20 hours per week in the studio making work
- Student must volunteer for at least one hour per week with studio chores
- State financial need

The Ceramics Summer High School Internship is made possible by an anonymous donor who has a desire to extend to high school students the opportunity to experience working in an active art center alongside other artists.We accept applications for other Internships year round.
