CAC POLICIES AND HANDBOOK
Class Enrollment and Refund Policies
Tuition is due in full at time of registration.
There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
No refunds will be given once class has started. Prior to this time a refund will be issued, minus the $25 registration fee.
No refunds will be given for missed classes.
Missed classes can be made up in other classes, with permission from the office. Classes cannot be made up in the last week of classes.
Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled and payment fully refunded.
Tuition is non-transferable.
In the event of an emergency closing, classes will be rescheduled. Call the office at 914-937-2047 x 223 to find out about closings listed on the voicemail.
Clay, tools and firing fees are not included in tuition, unless noted.
Clay can be purchased for $10-$19 per 25lb bag, depending on the price of clay. Firing fees are calculated by the cubic inch (i.e. height x width x depth) so each student's total will vary based on how much work they produce. The cost of firing is .05 cents per cubic inch for 2 firings -bisque and glaze firing.
All CAC Policies can be read in the Student Handbook (PDF), a down-loadable resource for all of your questions pertaining to the Clay Art Center. It includes policies for both classes and workshops, information about facilities and materials available, and detailed explanations of programs. Download CAC Student Handbook (PDF)
