Around the World in ClayA Grant-funded Program for Port Chester Teens  In 2012, beginning February 28th for 8 weeks the Around the World in Clay class will introduce teens to clay and highlight the ceramic traditions of Latin America, India and West Africa and their impact on contemporary ceramic artists. The class will be offered free of charge to 12 Port Chester teens who enroll for all 8 sessions.While learning the basic clay techniques from countries such as Peru, Mexico, Brazil, India and Mali teens will also be pushing their creative limits to design pieces of sculpture as well as cups, bowls and mugs.
This is a scholarship class students must meet financial need requirements.
