Reena KashyapEXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Reena Kashyap received her BA from Bombay University and apprenticed at the Filmeridis clay studio in Manama, Bahrain. She studied with Judy Weber and has spent several summers at Penland School of Crafts. She has been a Studio Potter for almost 20 years. Her work was exhibited in "Endless Variations: Shino Review" at the Baltimore Clayworks in March 2005 and her cups have been featured in the Lark Book, "500 Cups".

Reena was awarded the Community service award in 2004 by the Westchester Arts Council for her contribution to the community. Her passion for clay, people and community service brought her in 1997 to her current position. She also serves on the NCECA Board of Directors.

Leigh Taylor MickelsonPROGRAMS DIRECTOR

Leigh Taylor Mickelson has an MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology's School of American Crafts. She taught ceramics at Baltimore Clayworks and Catonsville Community College.

Leigh was formerly Exhibitions Director at Baltimore Clayworks as well as a member artist. She exhibits at galleries across the US and was showcased in an article in the March 2005 issue of Ceramics Monthly.

Doug BreitbartDIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Doug Breitbart has an BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and is a potter and sculptor. He has worked as the manager of Petrillo Stone Shop and has been a CAC artist for several years. He is a potter and sculptor and enjoys firing a wood kiln.

 

 Michelle MartinEDUCATION COORDINATOR

Michelle Martin has an MFA from SUNY New Paltz. She has been working as an Orton-Gillingham trained tutor for the past ten years meanwhile teaching ceramics at SUNY New Paltz, The Kildonan School, IS 183 Art School of the Berkshires, as well as at various art camps in the Hudson Valley. She currently teaches at the Clay Art Center and works as a studio artist making sculptural tiles
