Workshop Weekend at Martha's Vineyard with Jeff Shapiro

Slab Construction: An Alternative Approach
Thurs, Sept 14 - Sun, Sept 17, 2017
(includes 25 lbs of clay)
Join a small group of potters for a weekend on Martha’s Vineyard for a special workshop with Master Potter Jeff Shapiro. We will utilize a beautiful studio within walking distance of the colorful clay cliffs of Aquinnah. Jeff will demonstrate and then assist students in learning to scrape and hand-stretch slabs and construct unique vessel forms. In the afternoons we will have the opportunity to visit a local artist studio, and explore the beaches and quaint towns. This will be a time to learn a new technique and a time to explore Martha’s Vineyard in the beautiful fall season. Limit of 10 students.

Guests are to arrive on Thursday afternoon, September 15th.
All meals and lodging are included. Be sure to tell us about any food allergies/restrictions upon registration!
Accommodations will be at David and Kitty Vickery’s homes (located next to the studio).
