ARTIST STATEMENT

Jeanne Carreau is a Clay Art Center Faculty Member with an MA from UC Berkeley in East Asian Studies. She currently teaches beginning and intermediate wheel courses, as well as special needs classes and private lessons for adults and children. Jeanne particularly enjoys the challenge of throwing large forms on the wheel. “Clay is a way of life for me. Working with my hands as well as my head and my heart is my secret to a happy life. All of my life experiences, good and bad, provide a rich source for me as an artist to draw upon.”
