ARTIST STATEMENT

Kelli Stewart was born and raised in rural Illinois. She received her BFA from Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville, MO, and her MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, NY. After graduate school she was an artist-in-residence at Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY, where she also taught and was actively involved. After moving back to the midwest, Kelli continued to teach at community centers and colleges. Currently, Kelli lives and works in Saint Louis, MO, where she has a ceramics studio in her home. She is the sole proprietor of Thinking Stuff Studios, the mother of two amazing children, and also works for an accountant.
