Our private lessons provide a concentrated learning environment and close attention to personal growth and development for individuals or small groups.

About

  • Private lessons are a minimum of 2 hours per session (1-4 students).

  • Some lessons may be scheduled for less than 2 hours at the discretion of the teacher and Clay Art Center depending on the topic and number of students. Reach out to mail@clayartcenter.org to discuss

  • It may take up to 2 weeks to schedule a private lesson because our instructor and studio availability is constantly changing. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

  • Cancellations: Student must notify CAC and the instructor around 24 hours in advance to cancel a lesson, or they will be charged for that lesson.

  • We fire to cone 6 and cone 10 glaze temperatures.

  • Onsite lessons - Clay and firing fees are calculated separately from tuition:

    • New students: clay and firing fees are included with your first lesson

    • Repeat students: buy clay from us and firing credit with Student Credit

    • There is no open studio for private lessons

    • Students can keep up to 2 pieces in our one-time lessons

Rates for Private Lessons

1 Student : 1 Teacher

  • Tuition is $65/hour for one student and payable at time of registration.

  • Starting price $130 for a 2 hour class

2 Students : 1 Teacher

  • Tuition is $85 per hour for two students and payable at time of registration.

    • Starting price $170 for a 2 hour class

3 Students : 1 Teacher

  • Tuition is $105 per hour for three students and payable at time of registration.

    • Starting price $210 for a 2 hour class

4 Students : 1 Teacher

  • Tuition is $125 per hour for four students and payable at time of registration.

    • Starting price $250 for a 2 hour class
