ARTIST STATEMENT

My Functional and sculptural ceramic objects often depicts the wellbeing of wildlife and nature scenes in contrast to human made constructs like plastic in an attempt to show humanities impact on the natural world. Our intent is for the greater good and accessibility, but has manifested in clogging our oceans and polluting our land. I attempt to show how the human condition produces negative outcomes in all forms, from enslavement of animals to detrimental effects on the planet.
