Try wheel-throwing and learn the basics of using the potter’s wheel to create functional pieces—cylinders, cups, bowls, and more—in this beginner-friendly course.

You’ll receive hands-on guidance through centering, throwing, shaping, and trimming, then explore basic surface decoration and glazing to finish your work.

Topics include:

• Centering on the wheel

• Throwing and trimming even-walled cylinders and bowls

• Introduction to glazing and surface decoration
