ARTIST STATEMENT

My work explores the intersection of design, art, and fine craft through functional wheel-thrown pots. Through the use of delicate details and patterns I seek to elevate everyday pots from ordinary to exquisite. It is my intention to create a balance between form and decoration where each works in concert with the other.

Jess’s work has been published in Pottery Making Illustrated and Ceramics Monthly and she has shown her work in both juried and national invitational ceramic exhibitions. Jess lives in Port Chester, NY with her husband Pete.
