Please join us for a family-friendly Opening Reception on Saturday, January 24th from 1:30-3:30pm.

Clay Art Center is thrilled to present our 2026 Rising Stars exhibition, a celebration of the accomplishments, growth, and talent of all of the students and teachers in the Clay Art Center community. This exhibition is a testament to the transformative power of arts education, and ensures that every artist’s voice finds a home here.

Rising Stars brings together artists of all ages and experience levels, each contributing their unique perspective and creative energy. Whether they have been taking classes for decades or are exploring clay for the first time, our adult learners showcase their ingenuity, attentiveness, and development. Younger students bring contagious enthusiasm and joy to their creations, and their imaginative pieces serve as a reminder of the pure delight of working in clay. Works from adult and youth participants in Community Arts programs exemplify the power of clay as a tool for exploration, self-expression, and healing. Side-by-side with the work of students, the exhibition also displays the works of our dedicated instructors, whose expert guidance enables our students to flourish.

By uniting artists from different programs and levels, Rising Stars provides a meaningful opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the technical skills, creativity, and progress of all our students. Join us in celebrating their hard work and passion for clay.

About Our Programs

At Clay Art Center, we provide opportunities for the public to engage with clay and educational arts programming. Through more than a half-century of growth and expansion, we have become an essential part of the greater arts community, engaging the public and fostering artistic growth through the myriad possibilities of clay.

For those looking to dip their toes into the world of clay, our One-Time classes are perfect. These classes allow both adults and youth to try clay for the first time (or pick it back up after a long hiatus), and they provide a welcoming and supportive environment for beginners. Participants can explore their creativity and get a taste of the joy that comes with working with clay.

If you're interested in a more comprehensive learning experience, our Weekly Classes are designed to help students develop their skills over an extended period. Led by experienced instructors, these classes offer a structured curriculum in wheel-throwing and handbuilding techniques that give students the opportunity to dive deeper into their artistic practice.

Clay Art Center also offers a wide range of Community Arts classes to students of all ages in Port Chester, Westchester County, and beyond. Through scholarships and grant-funded programs, we are proud to serve our local communities with programs that are educational, purposeful, and fun. We partner with local schools, community centers, assisted living facilities, and nonprofits to provide both onsite and offsite clay programs.

To sustain our mission and continue providing these valuable opportunities, Clay Art Center relies on the support of grants, donations, and fundraising efforts. By making clay as accessible as possible, we cultivate an appreciation for the arts and foster a vibrant artistic community.
