Artist Statement

I interpreted the theme of “Lighting the Way” by creating a pair of candlesticks that reference the female form. Whether functionally or spiritually the soft glow of candles illuminate and bring light into dark spaces. My hope is to convey a sense of sharing, strength, and inner focus.

Artist Bio

After retiring as an elementary school art teacher I came to CAC taking many classes and workshops. I have been a full-time artist there since 2010 concentrating on my own work and teaching occasional workshops.
