This class explores the creative potential of clay through a sculptural lens, inviting students to experiment with abstract form, texture, and visual expression.

While the focus is on non-functional and conceptual work, students are also encouraged to incorporate sculptural elements into functional pieces—blurring the line between sculpture and utility.

Building Upside Down
Adding volume/gravity
Negative Space
Texture
Organic Shapes
Building in Parts

Skill Level: Advanced Beginners - Intermediate
Some Handbuilding Experience Needed - 1 - 2 Handbuilding Classes.

Student Policy Overview

No refunds are issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the first day of class.
There are no refunds or pro-rating options for missed classes.
Tuition does not include clay, tools or firing fees.
All class confirmations are sent by email 1 week prior to the start of class. Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled and payment fully refunded.
