Artist Statement

My functional work draws inspiration from the beautiful white rocks of the irregular, Croatian coastline. The Dalmatian coast is jagged, with rough, pocked textured limestone and dolomite, as well as incredibly smooth, rounded pebbles that formulate Croatia's beautiful beaches. This is where my heritage lies. Making artwork inspired by its beauty allows me to feel closer to my authentic self.
