Artist Statement

I'm amazed by the things God made on the earth, and am often guilty of copying them. I found concretions in a river close by and took molds of them, cast them hollow, in white stoneware, and altered them by paddling. I like all the steps involved in working with clay. My favorites are wheel throwing and wood firing with shino glazes.
