Artist Statement

"Summertime" captures the fleeting beauty of my favorite season through hand-formed ceramic flowers. Each piece preserves a moment of warmth, abundance, and stillness—echoing how summer stretches time and fills space with memory. By fixing these delicate forms in clay, the work invites reflection on how we experience time: as something both passing and preserved.

Artist Bio

Rose Foley has been a ceramic artist at Clay Art Center since 2018. Rose began her ceramic journey as a functional potter, however over time she incorporated sculpted flowers into her work. The most important factor in her art is that the work be both functional for its user and aesthetically pleasing for its viewer.
