Artist Statement

As the cultural and political climate in America grows increasingly heavy, I find myself instinctively drawn to create work that overflows with color, playfulness, and nostalgia-a visual antidote to the surrounding darkness. My current collection is defined by bold color and luscious touchable textures. For this set of salt & pepper shakers 'Blossom', I worked to capture the optimistic feeling of spring after a cold and dark winter in New England.
